ALIGNMENT is an ongoing multi-faceted work about lines and their meaning. The search for meaning is deeply embedded in the human condition and in our searching we have always drawn lines - connecting, dividing, defining and describing - each an attempt to make sense of our world, to bring some kind of order to what often feels like chaos. We have drawn lines in the stars, across maps and on our own palms, they are part of our personal, cultural and political history. Often they have become so integrated into our understanding of the world that they seem objective and innate but what is the true nature of our relationship to lines? Are the connections we make discoveries or are they creations?

So many aspects of life continue to elude definitive truth and in many ways the lines we once relied on are blurring. When the world shifts and certainty fades should we draw new lines to guide us and if so, where?
